Little Bio for Kim Dongwan
Kim Dongwan made his debut in 1998 as a vocalist in the boy band Shinhwa. Although he isn't lead vocalist, he began singing bigger parts on Shinhwa's 7th album, Brand New. One song from the album, "Liar", actually only has Kim on vocals, along with Eric Mun as rapper. He also wrote, composed, and arranged a song on the album, titled "Set Free". Though he had branched out as a solo artist, he is currently recording Shinhwa's 9th album.
Kim Dongwan released his debut solo album, Kimdongwan Is, on July 5, 2007, which featured collaborations with fellow Shinhwa members Andy-rapping in Loving Summer, Lee Min Woo- composed/wrote and arranged My Love, Shin Hye Sung-he sang a duet in The One left Alone, Junjin-created a dance and Eric-rapped in My Love. His first single will be a ballad, "Handkerchief", a song that is about a guy who consoles his girlfriend and wipes away her tears. Despite Shinhwa's genre in music like American R&B and candy pop, Kim said he wanted his album to be more Jpop influenced, having redone a song by Glay and Exile in the album.
The members of Shinhwa have supported Kim strongly prior to his debut. Lee Min Woo composed the song entitled "My Love", which features Mun as the rapper. Shin took time off from his solo project to sing a duet with Kim on the song "남은 사람 (Person Who Stays)", composed by songwriter Park Chang Hyun. Another song, "여름이 좋아 (Loving Summer)", has Andy Lee as the rapper, while Jun Jin assisted by choreographing some dance moves. Kim expressed gratitude for their contributions, saying, "I’ve been working together with the group Shinhwa, thus there was a lot of pressure working on the solo album, but since the other members showed up and helped me with most of it, it has been a great big help for me."
For the debut album, Kim also lost a lot of weight, saying that "it's not good for a ballad singer to have a muscular image. Someone singing ballads should have a lean, 'hungry-looking' image." His album had sold over 25,000 copies in just two days." Kim Dongwan along with his bandmates Junjin, Minwoo, Eric and Andy will enlist for the military in 2008.

The track title is a balled named Handkerchief (romanized sonsukeon). The album is very mixed, with a lot of different music styles.
