Do you get embarrased when you get asked if you have a bf/gf

When people meet me, they usually ask me if i have a boyfriend. At first it didn't bother me but now I feel embarrassed when i have to say no i don't have one.

I don't know if i should be feeling this way...are there others out there who feel the same way? Or does it not bother you at all?
